Our team recently got asked to clean some textured porcelain tile, that was installed approximately two years ago. Our client was told that the porcelain is very durable and will not stain or get marked up.
While this is partially true, the tile is very durable, the tile still gets marked up looked very unsightly. The tile is in a beautiful showroom at a custom cabinet manufacturer. The showroom receives quite a bit of foot traffic, but is regularly cleaned with the traditional mopping method. Our client noticed that the porcelain was holding onto the dirt far too much, and now the floor just didn’t look clean.
What did we do?
We provided a thorough scrubbing using nanotechnology to the porcelain and finished with a porcelain specific sealer.
While the sealer doesn’t make the porcelain completely stain or dirt resistant, it creates a micro-barrier that allows dirt to essentially float on top and not absorb into the micropores of the stone. This allows easier maintenance of the porcelain.
