Refinishing, polishing and honing
Refinishing your natural stone is one of the most common procedures and most effective in making your natural stone surface last a lifetime. The process involves a thorough cleaning, possible use of diamond polishing pads to remove slight damage like scratches, minor staining or wear and tear, and matching the existing finish. Ideally, this is should be scheduled on an annual basis depending on your type of stone.
Crack and chip repairs
Cracks, fissures, chipped edges, and holes may sometimes occur in floors due to settling structures, from wear and tear, or because of the natural make up of your stone. Castel-Mare Marble Care ltd. has skilled technicians who have mastered the art of repairing chips and are able to fill in damaged stone with remarkable attention to colour and pattern matching.
Cleaning and sealing
For cleaning needs that go beyond regular upkeep, we offer a wide variety of cleaning services that will improve the appearance of your stone surfaces in your home or business. When it comes to natural stone, sealing is a crucial step in protection against the absorption of water and other fluids that can cause damage or stains.
Castel-Mare Marble Care ltd. only uses penetrating impregnators; marble sealing done correctly will not leave any film or topical coating on the surface of your stone, but are absorbed deep within the stone to offer superb protection.
Scratch and stain removal
Accidents happen. When they do, Castel-Mare Marble Care ltd. is equipped, experienced, and ready to undo them. Despite what many say, staining is nearly unavoidable, however spills and scratches can almost always disappear from sight. Why is scratch and stain removal necessary? Natural Stone is a porous and soft material. Because of stone’s porosity it will absorb almost everything much like your skin does.
Also, it can be scratched just as easily depending on what type of natural stone you have. While there is no real way to prevent scratches, regular maintenance will reduce the unsightly appearance of a scratched surface.
Stone lippage removal
The term lippage refers to a difference in height between adjoining tile edges causing unevenness. Even for the most skilled floor installers it is nearly impossible to install stone with absolutely no stone lippage.

Quartz and solid surfaces
Recently in North America, Quartz surfaces have made a large impact on the market. It is becoming one of the most popular and effective surfaces to use in kitchens, bathrooms, and even some floor applications. Castel-Mare Marble Care ltd. has teamed up with Surface Link to perform authorized warranty and non-warranty repairs on Hanstone Quartz, LG Viatera, and other quartz manufactures in Canada.
For many years Solid Surface has been used as a countertop of choice. However, this product is susceptible to heat and can crack quite easily if proper care is not taken. Even still, the colours are brilliant and the refinishing process can be painless for the customer. We have been authorized by many manufacturers such as Samsung- Staron, Dupont- Corian, LG-Hi-Macs and others to perform their warranted and non-warranted repairs successfully throughout Ontario each week.
